Rickie Lea Owens is a multi-disciplinary artist who crafts frolicsome animated bombardments and freaky circuitry. She is especially interested in extending the presence of drawing and gesture in everyday life. She creates animated, responsive video installations driven by audience participation. She also facilitates media literacy & animation workshops. Upcoming exhibits include a coin operated, 16mm film peep show installation in the storefront of LaCentrale/Galerie Powerhouse in Montréal, Québec in the summer of 2012.
