Suzanne Fernando

Suzanne Fernando is an artist interested in social justice and community development based out of Scarborough, Ontario. Her poems have appeared in Scarborough Fair and Scarborough’s Big Art Book. She has read her poetry at the University of Toronto and Artbar in Toronto. She is interested in decolonization, intersectionality and the artistic representation of the South Asian diaspora. She holds an MEd in Community Development from the University of Toronto and an MLIS in Library and Information Science from Western University. She collaborates with Annie Wong and Rebecca Zala as part of the project A Choir of Demands and Desires On Repeat, which was last presented at the East Toronto Weekend of Words in 2017.
