Anne-Marie Trépanier develops an artistic practice based on research and methodology. Her projets aim to display the relationship between representation and data, as well as politics and affect. She creates narrative forms through the use of data & image production, writing, editing and translating, as means of production, dissemination and conservation of knowledge. Owning a BFA from Concordia University, her work was presented as part of Beyond Spectacle – Residency (Gold Saucer Studio, Vancouver), Partage Montreal (La Centrale, Montreal), Monuments aux victimes de la liberté (AXENÉO7, Gatineau), harbinger (Eastern Bloc, Montreal) and Les lieux communs (AXENÉO7, Gatineau). She is the co-editor of Der Kauffman, a small publication produced for Jean-Baptiste Carobolante & Deborah Bowmann (Brussels) and was the co-curator of the exhibition Sans feu ni lieu; sans foi ni loi at Studio XX & Width: 700px; gallery (Montreal).
