J’vlyn d’Ark

J’vlyn d’Ark is a multimedia artist, designer, DJ, and audio engineer who was raised in the Deep South and born again in Montreal’s underground queer scene. In her practice as a multimedia artist, d’Ark creates immersive A/V productions that merge original videos and sound to engage the depths of identity and selfhood. After three years of heading up the monthly event Faggity Ass Fridays, d’Ark embarked on several solo and collaborative projects centered on queer women such as D’ark Mistress, TRYST, and Acidalia. Her performances as a DJ ride the edges of genres and have earned her spots on lineups at Piknic Électronik, Igloofest, and several ongoing residencies. These days, with her head in her music, d’Ark is focused on music production, visual programming, and collaborative projects with fellow queer and feminist electronic musicians.
