SANDDE is a new stereoscopic 3D animation system that allows the user to draw in stereoscopic 3D space, and sculpt lines as if manipulating a wire sculpture.

Using Sandde is a totally unique sensation–a highly responsive connection between the body in real space and your artwork in virtual space. The only way to understand what it’s like to draw in space is to actually try it.

That’s why we are hosting an intensive Sandde workshop at Studio XX on Saturday, February 22th, 2014 from 12-5pm. The workshop will be taught by Claire Blanchet, an NFB animator who has been involved in the development of Sandde over the last several years.

The workshop will include an introduction to the user interface, special concerns for working in 3D, and basic animation and drawing tools.  The workshop is held with the help of Janro Imaging Lab, developers of Sandde software, as part of their ongoing commitment to making the tool accessible to artists.

This course will be taught in English by a bilingual teacher. Minimum 8 participants.
This course is for beginners / intermediate. Price will be adjusted if this minimum is not reached
