WORKSHOP FOR FAMILIES | Green Gazing

Join us for a late-winter workshop inspired by the installation Green Gazing by Lesley Marshall and Ashley Bowa, which invites community reflection on our relationship to living things and the systemic roots of environmental degradation. In this VJing and yoga-inspired movement workshop participants will explore different ways of measuring plant life and energy, and will respond with expressive movement. After an introduction to plant identification, participants will make a short video and collect information about their plants using pH meters, drawing tools, and more. With these videos and the collected data, they will develop both live projections and plant-life inspired movements.
This educational activity is reserved for teenagers or children accompanied by an adult. To register, contact mediation@studioxx.org before February 27th! Please indicate the name and age of the participants.
